Sullivan County Humane Sociaty is a non-profit 501(c)(3) volunteer organization. Our mission is to promote the adoption of Senior Pets (>9 years old) from shelters. Our Silver Whiskers Program (SWIP) helps senior pets get the care they need.

Yes! You can afford to adopt an older pet, even if they need some extra health care. We can help.
Sullivan County Humane Society (SCHS) will cover up to $1000/year of non-routine veterinary expenses (regardless of your financial situation) when you adopt a senior (>9 years old) cat or dog from a qualified shelter and have them treated at a participating veterinarian.
